Purpose of the Role
The M&E Supervisor will support the effective implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for the Adolescent and Young People (AYP) HIV prevention programme in Bojanala Sub-District. Reporting to the M&E Officer, the role involves providing oversight to the data management team, ensuring quality data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting in line with Global Fund (GF) and programme requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
•⁠ ⁠Support planning, coordination, and implementation of M&E activities to track programme performance.
•⁠ ⁠Oversee daily data collection, validation, and reporting from programme teams across the sub-district.
•⁠ ⁠Ensure full and effective use of biometric and electronic data management systems, including staff mentoring.
•⁠ ⁠Support Data Quality Officers in conducting 100% data verification and validation.
•⁠ ⁠Ensure timely, accurate reporting for programme planning and donor requirements.
•⁠ ⁠Build M&E capacity of AYP programme staff through training and supportive supervision.
•⁠ ⁠Participate in programme reviews, internal data audits, and DQAs.
•⁠ ⁠Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
•⁠ ⁠Track and monitor AYP indicator performance using Zenysis and MyHope platforms.
•⁠ ⁠Assist in documentation of lessons learned, case studies, and success stories.
•⁠ ⁠Provide support to sub-subrecipient (SSR) M&E Officers.
•⁠ ⁠Represent Show Me Your Number at relevant M&E forums, as delegated.
•⁠ ⁠Supervise data capturers and coordinate with programme teams for data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Requirements
•⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Information Management, or Social Sciences.
•⁠ ⁠Minimum 3 years’ experience in M&E, specifically within HIV/AIDS programmes.
•⁠ ⁠Demonstrated experience with donor-funded programmes, especially Global Fund or PEPFAR.
•⁠ ⁠Sound understanding of government M&E systems (DOH, DSD, DBE).
•⁠ ⁠Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel.

Key Competencies
•⁠ ⁠Proficient in M&E planning, tools, and systems.
•⁠ ⁠Skilled in data collection, analysis, reporting, and system training.
•⁠ ⁠Familiar with AYP indicators and data platforms (Zenysis, MyHope).
•⁠ ⁠Competency in MS Office, Excel, and data visualization tools.
•⁠ ⁠Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•⁠ ⁠Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
•⁠ ⁠Ability to lead and motivate data management teams under pressure.
•⁠ ⁠Experience in conducting internal data audits and DQA processes.
•⁠ ⁠Fluency in English; local language proficiency is an added advantage.
